TRIP PAYMENTS


TRIP INCLUDES:

- 5 days and 4 nights lodging at The Old Town Inn, located just a short FREE shuttle ride for the base of the mountain.  Each room has two queen size beds.

- Complimentary Thursday evening Welcome Party hosted by your Trip Leaders.  They will provide pizza and salads.  A cash bar is available.

- Complimentary Continental Breakfast is available each morning at the Inn.

- Complimentary shuttle service to and from the mountain and town are available.

- FUN and LEISURE.  When it comes to either, Crested Butt has it all.  shopping, restaurants, and night life.  The Old Town Inn is across the street from the Nordic Center, and walking distance to downtown.

- CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN has plenty of Green, Blue, Black, and Double Black runs for all levels of Boarders and Skiers.

TRIP ITINERARY:

THE LUXURY MOTOR COACH:  We meet this bus on Thursday, March 20th, at The Home Depot, 3130 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80227.  We will be at the North end of the parking lot, furthest away from the store entrance.  Departure is scheduled for 8:00 AM, plan on arriving at 7:30 AM.  It is about a 4 hour ride to Crested Butte.  We will have breakfast food and water on the bus for the ride up.  No coffee or tea.  We will have snacks and sandwiches for the trip back to Denver.

Check-in time at the Inn is 4 PM.   We will arrive in Crested Butte before that time and everything must be unloaded from the bus.  Most of our rooms will not be ready when we arrive, so we will store our stuff in the rooms that are available or by the front desk.  Some people will want to ski, or you can check out the town or HOT TUB!

WELCOME PARTY at 4:00 PM at the Secret Stash Restaurant, 303 Elk Avenue, Crested Butte.  970-349-6245.  They do not take reservations but they know we are coming and we will be in the downstairs room that opens at 4:00 P.M.  The welcome party includes salad and pizzas. You will need to pay for your own drinks and any appetizers that you may want to buy.  After the welcome party we will stop by one of the local bars.  YOU NEED TO GET TO SECRET STASH NO LATER THAN 4:30 PM OR YOU MAY NOT GET A SEAT!

Friday morning is a Ski Day!  Meet just outside the door of the front desk at 8:30 A.M. if you want to join Curtis and Rob to ski the blue cruisers!  We will walk over to the shuttle, get to the mountain, pick up buddy passes for those that need them, get on the Red Lady lift. Lunch will be at the Paradise cafeteria at 12 noon, it is mid mountain, right beside the Paradise lift.   

Friday Evening Optional Group Dinner.  Apres Ski/Dinner at "Butte 66", located at the ski area, by the Red Lady lift, 2nd floor of the Treasury Building.  Everyone will order and pay for their own food & drink - 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.  After dinner some of us will be going to the Talk of the Town Bar in town on Main Street. They usually have some sort of music. 

Saturday and Sunday mornings are Ski Days!   Meet once again at 8:30 A.M. to join the group, same as Friday, lunch at 12 noon at Paradise. 

Saturday Night, optional group dinner at TBA. We have tables for our group reserved starting at 5:00 pm seating. If you want to join the dinner you must reserve a seat on the link listed below. One check per table, everyone pays for their own food and drink. (CHECK BACK FOR LINKS)

Monday March 25 - For the bus drive back to Denver.  Room check out is at 10:00 A.M.  The bus will arrive at the hotel at 10:00 A.M. for loading, we will depart Crested Butte at 10:30 am. Stopping in Gunnison at Subway to pick up sandwiches for lunch.  Back to the Home Depot meeting place by approximately 3:00 P.M.

What to bring: Other than your ski gear, bring a bathing suit for the Hot Tub, nice clothes for the dinners. The bus will be full so pack smart and try not to bring a lot of extra stuff!  There are small refrigerators in the rooms and there is a microwave in the lobby and an ice machine so you can bring a cooler for some food and beverages. There is also a grocery and liquor store on the other side of the parking lot from the hotel.

TRIP PRICING:
Price includes transportation from Denver to Crested Butte and back to Denver, on a private luxury motor coach.  Food, drinks, and snacks will be provided on the rides to and from.

A deposit is required at time of trip registration.
50% of balance is due 90 days from trip start.
50% of balance is due 45 days from trip start.

Double Occupancy:   $559 - Deposit $120
Single Occupancy:    $971 - Deposit $240

Non-Members, MeetUp Members, and Guests -

Double Occupancy: $609 - Deposit $120
Single Occupancy $1021 - Deposit $240

NOTE: If the choice to select Single Occupancy is not provided during registration, you must sign up a second time to get Single Occupancy. Any duplicated extra costs will be refunded.

Double occupancy is standard on all trips.
UTC attempts to honor roommate and rooming requests, but they are not guaranteed. Final room assignments are at the trip leader(s) discretion as room assignment changes may be required up to the time of trip departure. In some instances, trip participants may be assigned to room with a person they do not know, or may have to share a bed with a person they do not know of the same sex. If you do not wish to share a room or bed, single rooms may be available at additional cost. There may be instances when a trip participant must pay for single occupancy in order to go on the trip. Please check with the trip leader(s) for more information.

Cancellation Policy:
Up the Creek Ski and Recreation Club (“UTC”) has a No Refund Policy for events/trips/activities.

Exceptions to this policy are granted as follows:

[* Medical, injury or death]: A personal medical condition or injury to you with a doctor’s involvement; death in the immediate family (parents, siblings, children, grandparents, NOTE: pets DO NOT count). The registrant cancelling must be able to provide relevant documentation regarding the injury, medical condition or death to obtain a full cancellation refund;

[* The trip is cancelled]: In some circumstances a trip will be cancelled for all registrants. NOTE: If the venue cancels the trip then UTC must receive its refund from the venue before they can issue refunds.

[* Someone cancels for any other reason]: In this case an exception is granted ONLY if the cancelled spot is filled. In the case where a cancelled spot is filled, a cancellation fee is applied based on the price of the trip and the balance is refunded.
Trips priced at $500 or higher: $100 cancellation fee.
Trips priced from $200 to $499: $50 cancellation fee.
Trips price at $199 or lower: $25 cancellation fee.

If you cancel in the seven days prior to the trip start date, you will only be eligible for a refund if the cancellation is due to injury/illness/death and you have provided the proper documentation to the Trip Leader.

You MUST go through your trip leader/host to cancel and seek reimbursement. If you meet the refund requirements, UTC will refund the credit card used for the trip/event payment for the amount that you paid minus any applicable service fee. Please allow up to thirty (30) days from the event/trip/activity end date for any refund checks, credit card refunds, or comps to be issued. Cancellations are typically processed in the order received.
